Le Phénicien is a recently converted maximum sized luxury hotel barge, fitted out to carry up to 18 guests on the Rhone river and in the Camargue.

Individual cabins are available or the whole boat can be chartered.

The upper deck has panoramic windows and a modern aspect as you can see in the photos. Below decks are the 9 guest cabins each with private bathrooms and WC.

We have seen many hotel barges but the style and layout of the Phénicien is truly unique.

Avignon – This has to be one of the most magnificent cities in France. We will moor near the eponymous bridge made famous in the song "Sous le pont, d'Avignon....". From here a short walk takes you into the walled city and the Pope's Palace. Avignon is also a centre of modern culture especially theatre and music, and hosts the festival of Avignon in august every year.

Chateauneuf du Pape – Visit the vineyards and cellars of the famous vineyards on the slopes of the Rhone river.

The Camargue – The delta of the Rhone is home to one of the most important wild life areas in France. Here you can see the white horses and pink flamingos that make this region so different.
