About the bargeSaul Nomad is a unique barge having been completely built from the keel up over the last few years. Owner and Skipper John Smethurst has lovingly created an interior of fine woods and polished chrome. No expense has been spared in the building of this fine little ship to provide one the most well equiped barges on the waterways. You can now share the cruising experience on Saul Nomad in the south of France with cruises in the Camargue, Provence and Midi regions. Short sea passages may also be scheduled. |
Cruise HighlightsSaul Nomad cruises in the south of France near to the medieval city of Aigues Mortes, built by Louis IX for the departures of the crusades in the 13th century. The Camargue stretches both sides of the canal with its flamingos and wild horses. Les Saintes Marie de la Mer is where the local 'gauchos' hold their religious services. Further visits to Nimes, Arles, the Pont du Gard, Avignon are also possible. This is a great way to visit the region. |
